The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued new guidance on February 5, 2020, intended to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (2019-nCoV). As result of the new guidance and due to the recent acceleration of 2019-nCoV transmission across China, Argonne has updated its site access requirements for users, visitors, and staff.
Starting February 7, we will ask all users and visitors who do not have an active Argonne badge about recent international travel as part of their site access registration process. We will require users and visitors who have traveled from or through mainland China in the last 14 days to reschedule their visit.
This is a temporary measure that will help Argonne maintain a safe, healthy, and productive workplace. We continue to ask that all users and visitors who are ill, particularly if they are exhibiting respiratory symptoms, including fever, cough and difficulty breathing, reschedule their visit and seek medical guidance.
We appreciate your patience and willingness to help stop the spread of this virus. Continue to check back with us for updates.
