This load frame provides mechanical load up to 3000 lbs, and is actuated with a stepper motor which can be controlled at the beamline.Load is measured with a load cell below the sample.The sizeable area in-between the load columns allows additional sample environments to be used, in particular the IR furnace.Holes in the bottom of the frame allow for attachment to stages below. Both tension and compression grips are available, and attach to the frame through 3-8/24 threads.
