RAMS

The Rotation and linear Axial Motion System (RAMS) was developed by the Air Force Research Laboratory and Pulse X-ray, Inc.It fits inside the MTS 858 load frame, and allows samples to be fully rotated, with high precision, while under tensile loads up to 2.5 kN.The rotation and loading axes are vertical. This enables the concurrent use of x-ray tomography, near-field HEDM and far-field HEDM while samples are mechanically deformed.
