Notification of new publications

Please remember that as an APS user, you are required to notify both the APS and your host beamline staff when results obtained wholly or in part through the use of the APS are published in journals, books, conference proceedings, dissertations, or other printed technical media.

Send information regarding publications and student dissertations that resulted from experiments carried out at any of the SSM beamlies (Sectors 33, 34, 12) to [email protected] with a copy to the SSM administrative contact ([email protected]) and your beamline support staff. Please include the citation, the Sector(s)/CAT(s) beamline(s) where the work was done, and whether or not GUP beam time was used, including the GUP number if applicable. In addition, once the work is published, one hardcopy of each manuscript must be sent to your local beamline contact at:

Acknowledgements

The following acknowledgment statement must be included in all published reports of work conducted at the APS:
"Use of the Advanced Photon Source was supported by the U. S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Office of Basic Energy Sciences, under Contract No. DE-AC02-06CH11357."

Appropriate acknowledgments of the resources provided by collaborative access teams (CATs) and/or their staff, other (non-CAT) beamline staff, affiliated institutions, and funding agencies should be included, as well. Also mutually beneficial is a statement in the text noting the location(s) and designation(s) of beamlines (e.g., "Data was collected on the X-ray Operations and Research beamline 2-ID-B at the Advanced Photon Source, Argonne National Laboratory").
